Hi! I am a Japanese who live in Tokyo, Japan. I love culture of my own country, like Kimono which is our traditional cloths, and hope many people in many countries enjoy our cultures before the next Olynpic held in Tokyo in 2020.

More than 20 years I was working very hard as an accountant mainly in American companies in Tokyo but quit working in 2016 to enjoy my life. To start with, I travelled Cuba for one month in September and had fabulous time with many other travellers! Also I studied something important to live, from people in Cuba. So after returning from Cuba, I decided to have another journey, travelling Asia, Europe and South America, instead of going back to life as an accountant working very hard.

In addition to travel, I like practising yoga! I used to join a morning yoga class before going to my office every day, or stayed one month in India（Goa and Rishikesh, lovely places!!!）10 years ago for yoga training. I also like practising yoga in city where I visit!

Another thing I enjoy is eating with my friends, often invite friends to my house and dine in outside terrace in my house. I feel happy when I enjoy conversation with my friends and my house are filled with their laughing voices!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting people in the world and understand their cultures and countries. In addition, I would like to introduce my country and our culture to as many people in the world as possible.

Now I want to start my own business, I do not want to go back to the days I was hired by someone, I want to decide when to work and how, by myself. I have not yet found what is good for my business and hope to find tips when I travel and from interaction with many people in many countries.

I married in 2018 and my husband also loves to accept foreign guests!

Music, Movies, and Books

【Music】I like listening solo guitar music, used to practise solo guitar by a very famous solo guitar musician in Japan.（But my guitar level is ..., do not ask, please!）

【Movies】My No.1 movie is, "The English Patient"! I also love "The Notebook", "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and many Japanese animation movies of Hayao Miyazaki.

I love watching musical, especially Disney musicals like Aladdin, Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, Aida. I enjoyed watching Chicago, Fantome and Mamma Mia! when I visited N.Y.. I will go to see a new musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, in next April and cannot wait!

【Book】I am a bookworm(^^), reading almost one book per day. It is very hard to select only one but the top 3 books which make me now are, Eat Pray Love by E. Gilbert's, Jane Eyre by C.Bronte and Left To Tell by I.Ilibagiza.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I joined a meditation course 9 years ago and during the course I did not talk at all for 8 days! It was amazing but beautiful and peaceful time. I really enjoyed facing myself and purifying my mind. We could not access cell phone or internet, of course, it is kind of heaven, don't you think so?

Share/Teach: Yoga, Self-stretch, simple hand massage, Japanese cooking. I am now practising Kimono dresser course and help you to wear my kimono and take pictures with kimono on!
