Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing as formal as this but in thirty years, I've visited and stayed with people who have become great friends in Dresden, Berlin, and Bremen. Rode my bike through Germany, Luxemburg, and Belgium on a long weekend. Friends from Giza took me on a camel ride on the back side of the Pyramids away from the roads and the tourists. Sailed through the Panama Canal on a 60 foot sailboat with a couple I met while living in Panama City. Played cards and drank copious amounts of beer with an Italian couple, a young Cuban woman and a French gentleman while we all stayed at a villa in Costa Rica owned by Spanish couple. When I travel to Buffalo, NY I stay with a Chinese family I met through another site. All the experiences have been absolutely wonderful and I look forward to more experiences and memories.

Interests

Tourist stuff, history, conversation. Back in the day, parachuting, scuba diving, hiking and camping - outdoor stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a "watch a movie once" kinda guy, not one to quote from movies or watch them over and over. I have an ecclectic taste for music, am insprired by it, but again, like movies don't follow artist etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 20 years serving my country as a Pararescueman of the US Air Force and crew member aboard AWACS. In that time I have done some extraordinary things and have met amazing people from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a professional speaker and trainer, I have been accused by my nieces and nephews of turning everything into a life's lesson. I like to help others find their success.
