Overview
About Me
I am Isaias. I am a history teacher in an international school in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ and went to university in Houston, TX. I am very experienced with Couchsurfing, both as a guest and as a host. I am super friendly and courteous. I really like CS because I want to meet locals and see their cities from their points of view. I also just enjoy meeting people on CS because they seem to be more open-minded. Each experience has been almost like reuniting with an old friend living in a new place!
I was recently reminded why I had some basic rules about CS and what turned me away from it. Here is a basic education in common courtesy for those that are new to CS:
1. Be friendly and polite to your host (find a way to show your gratitude)
2. If they reply to you, then you should reply back.
3. Be communicative. If you don't have a sim or data, fix that - make it part of your budget! Look up e-sims, but leaving people wondering what is going on is not appropriate. Most places have Wifi so get over the fear and just ask for the password.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The CouchSurfing philosophy is really important to me. I love to meet new people in my travels, because it improves the experience so much. We have hosted people in every city that we've lived in and have stayed with hosts on almost every trip we've taken.
Come stay at my home!
