About Me

CURRENT MISSION

All we really gotta do is live and die.. might as well be good at living.

ABOUT ME

I'm easygoing and accepting of everyone. Except bigots and other people with hateful agendas. I've been commercial fishing for 7 years now, kayak/wilderness guiding for 5, and bartending for 2. I enjoy most music (no christian rock!) and movies..

A lot of my life was spent camping and hiking, in the midwest and Yosemite, and I know a lot about the local options for such things.

I have a 4 year old son who I love dearly, and he splits his time between his ma's house and mine, so count yourself lucky if you get to meet him.

PHILOSOPHY

I love my son. I live my life to make his better. But in the meantime, I think there is room on this planet for everyone who doesn't harbor a hatred of other people based on ideology.

At the same time, I can't help but wonder sometimes if humans are naturally evil or naturally good... there is plenty of argument for both.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to host, and love to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend of mine hosted in Seattle and got me into the idea - I think it's great. This is the type of thing that brings the world together in a positive way.

Interests

Most everything. I tend to get into things very intensely for periods of time... tons of stuff including (but not limited to) ancient greek/roman mythology, middle eastern politics/history, American plains indians, NW coast art, all types of fishing, science fiction and fantasy games/books/ideas....

Basically I am interested in everything, but not everything can hold my interest. Is that snobby?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving for cukes once I came upon series of crazy rock formations, covered with anenomes, cukes and urchins.. it was like a series of underwater temples to Poseidon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know about living. The practical side of things. Like the best way to make a letter get from point A to point B. Or how to navigate an airport.
