I caught the travel bug while studying abroad in Italy in 2008, and have been trying to travel ever since. After graduating from college in 2009 I started working at a biotech start-up called Adimab. I've been there for a little over 5 years now but am planning on leaving soon to spend a few months traveling in eastern Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel around eastern Europe and would like to meet some awesome people and save money at the same time! I've done airbnb a lot in the past, even staying on a guys couch in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and really enjoyed it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I like Fantasy above all else but I've found books in each genre that I have enjoyed. It's hard to pick a favorite but some are The Hobbit, The Name of the Wind, Harry Potter and Sorcerers Stone, and Dragon's Blood (Pit Dragon Trilogy).

Music: I like all kinds of music except scremo and death metal. My favorites are usually mood related, but I listen to rock, pop, and country the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the night on a deserted island in the Philippines and my two friends and I decided to go swimming with only the stars and a small fire for light. After swimming for about 15 minutes I moved and the sea lit up. Every movement I made was followed by what looked like swirling fireflies in the water. Bioluminescent algea had somehow surrounded us and it was beyond amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to help people with whatever I can, preferring to add some sort of value or help as thanks for hosting me. I am extremely courteous, am open to experiencing the different cultures I visit, and always strive to make my hosting as least intrusive as possible.
