ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded and easy-going guy. I like travelling - and still have the feeling that I haven't really seen anything yet ;) Do you know that feeling? ;)

I enjoy being at the beach (love any kind of surfing, not only Couchsurfing ;-) but kitesurfing in particular!) and in the mountains (I often work as a ski and snowboard instructor in the Alps in winter).

Whenever I travelled to places I tried to stay with locals. It's such an interesting experience, makes every journey amazing and it gives you a different perspective - so I hope to continue this by being a couchsurfer :)

What else...? I enjoy socal gatherings as much as I enjoy quiet evenings at home... Oh and airports (and maybe trainstations, too) are one of my favourite places as the offer the chance to go away, meet people... To me they are the door to great times all over the world :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering a place to stay, showing people around the area if possible :)
If I can't host you, I can still show you around or we could go for some geocaching together!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted interesting couchsurfers and we had great evenings together. To me hosting someone feels a little bit like being on holiday as well!
I couchsurfed through CS in Latvia, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Every time I met new and interesting people, learned about new things and we shared our experiences. To sum it up in one word: unforgetable :)

Intereses

Sports: Love kitesurfing, skiing, snowboarding, cycling, mountainbiking, playing volleyball, swimming, roller blading, doing GeoCaching...

Traveling.... Anywhere, anytime I'm off work :-)

Spending time with friends: Cooking together, eating together, playing board games, singing songs, ...

Going out: I love coffee and I enjoy sitting in a café having a nice chat over a cup of coffee or simply read a book or magazine. Also watching movies, going to concerts, doing sports are favourite free time activities. From time to time I also go to a club with friends and party there although I enjoy parties at home as well

Algo increíble que he hecho

Parachute jumping in Moldova, a former Sowjet Union state. Unfortunately the security instructions were in Russian... The procedure, however, was quite clear: jump out and PRAY ;)

Also sandboarding in the Sahara desert during sunrise was amazing...

Cycling with my best friend through the rain forests of Uganda and hiked with chimpansees...

Taught English in Ukraine and Moldova and came home humbled :)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach you how to make 'Käspätzle', a local traditional dish from southern Germany, especially in the delicious 'Allgäu Version' :-)

I can also teach you some German :)
