ABOUT ME

My name is Torsten, I am Swedish and I am currently living in Uppsala - a university city located approximately one hour from Stockholm, which is my hometown. I am studying political science at Uppsala University, and am very pleased with the life of a student in a city which is built around, and also depending on, the big university and the student life with all its spontaneous components.

My main interests in life are politics, philosophy and music - but above all to travel, meet new people and experience new and different places and cultures. Among my trips a 4 months-trip all across South- and Central America can be mentioned just as my 5 months long stay in Ghana in Western Africa where I did my internship working on projects for sustainable development, education and human rights.I have also done minor trips all around in Europe, to western Africa and to Japan.

If you are visiting Stockholm, which is an amazingly beautiful city, do not hesitate to do a swing by to Uppsala and visit me, and a great University city with an amazing student vibe - my couch is available for you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As long as I am in the country, I will always have my couch available to a person that wants to visit Uppsala. I believe strongly in the project of Couch Surfing - both as a way of meeting new interesting people, but also as a way of experience new places and cultures. I will try to use Couch Surfing as often as I can during my travels, and I strongly believe that the whole project will grow, and gain even more popularity all around the world.
