About Me
CURRENT MISSION
recently: not to break my legs on the slippery pavements of Berlin
ABOUT ME
I'm a nothern german boy who studied in Berlin just to fell in love with the city, stayed here for more than 13 years and doesn't want to leave. (I do miss the sea though).
Typical nothern germans are supposed to be reserved and cautious but have a warm heart, they don't talk to much, but have a dry humour and they can drink. What applies to me is up to you to find out. (I think I am open minded and can be very talkative if i find someone to share interests with).
I like to go out, meet for a drink or a coffee and stay up late (which unfortunately doesn't always fit to my working times).
I'm addicted to music. I love to go to gigs, discover new bands and music. I don't like it if people stick to just one taste and a narrow world (not only in terms of music).
I stayed in Scotland for a year and travelled through the UK a lot. Other countries I've been to and enjoyed were Sweden, Denmark, BeNeLux, Poland, France, Switzerland, Italy. Unfortunately I haven't been outside of Europe yet, but hopefully soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to start CS slowly to see what is possible with the amount of time I have. Start surfing and hosting and spread the word when got my first experiences. Give advice to people for good venues, take them to gigs, great venues and nice spots, tell them all about the city I love.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did a lot of private couchsurfing and hosting over the years via personal contacts..
I've been introduced to CS-site by a friend and I like the idea. Been to some meetings in Berlin and hosted a few nice people before joining CS. Now I want to join for building up contacts and start more surfing / hosting.

Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can try to teach some german.
I know a lot about music but unfortunatly I can't play any instrument (I do have a bass guitar though, if you can teach me to play this would be fab).
As a town planner i can explain a lot about the history, the development and the structure of Berlin and guide you through the city.
