Hey!

My name is Vitor Bessa and I'm 26 years old! I grew up in a small town close to Porto, in Portugal, lived in the big city for 6 years while studying and in Guimarães for a year working at the Hospital! I now live on the beachside in Esmoriz, a small coastal town 20km south of Porto

Well, about me ... I like to believe I'm a fun and easy going guy, I love having long and varied conversations about almost anything, playing games, taking walks around the town and travelling. Unfortunetly I haven't been able to travel as much as I would like but I'm planning on it!

I'm a very open minded guy and I really enjoy getting to know other cultures and realities and I love sharing my own with visitors! I would love to host you and show you around!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I made my Couchsurfing profile in 2010 but I never really had the opportunity to travel a lot but a new phase of my life is starting and I'll be able to do it more! I hosted some people at my house with my housemates from college but I always used one of their profiles!

I think Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity not only of visiting other countries with lower costs and a better understanding of the culture you're getting to know but also as a way of contributing to a safe, loving and multicultural society! As a Surfer I get the chance to get to know citys and countries from an unique point of view that I wouldn't have otherwise and as a Host I get the chance to introduce my people, my city and our way of life to others! I mean... that's just priceless!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most genres of music and depending on the ocasion I can enjoy some classical music or some dubstep or some pop music! My favorite song and band of all time are probably the Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody!

I love reading a good book and I like historical and/or fantastical history novels the most, altough I read other things as well. My favourite author is J. R. R. Tolkien and despite being a huge nerd about his fantastic universe I promise I won't bother you with it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a one bedroom apartment with a cosy couch I can offer! You can use all the facilities in the house as you wish, as long as you don't get the house burned to the ground or something like that!
