I'm 33, and am working as a post-doc (psychology/statistics) in Leuven (Belgium) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands). I also work a bit as photographer and musician on the side.

Currently, I am visiting to the US for two conferences, but will also take 3 weeks off, rent a car, and drive through Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and California. I hope to meet some of you on the trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my years in Berlin and Ann Arbor (US), I hosted around 50 surfers, but never surfed extensively myself. I haven't been active on CS for a while because my PhD didn't really allow me too much time outside of the office.

My coolest CS incidence was meeting the head of tourist information in a small town in Norway in 2005, who let me sleep at her place since the only youth hostel in town had closed and there was no way to get out of the town by public transport before the next day. The woman even turned out to be German ...
