I recently graduated from James Cook University in Australia with a marine biology degree and I am currently volunteering for the United Nations Environment Programme in Geneva in the Disaster Risk Reduction unit. I am so excited to contribute to the selfless and important work this organization does for both humans and the enviroment. It has been a dream of mine to be a part of the UN for years and to have this opportunity to come to where the UN headquarters are is just wow! I love all flora and fauna, and I am always looking for the next adventure outdoors - whether it's up in the moutains or swimming below the surface. I also really enjoy music - both listening and composing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to be able to explore Switzerland on a budget since this country ain't cheap and my internship is all self-funded! I really want to make the most of my 6 months here and see as much of this beautiful country as I can, and having you wonderful hosts offering a couch to crash on makes a world of difference for people such as myself. I am so appreciative for this platform and all the generous humans on here! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music... I am really into acoustic/folk right now, or anything with piano or guitar. But the violin, fiddle and banjo also hit right too. I also love country and house music, or blues and jazz...honestly, most music! Just no screamo or metal for me.

Movies: Rom coms, action, adventure, nature documentaries - anything David Attenborough (still need to see his new series, Ocean!)

A network connection and the chance for a lifelong friendship! Really I am just easy going and would be open to going for a hike or nature walk or just sit and chill at park or beach. I am happy to go to events as well. It's always nice to share the experience with someone, and hey if you have been dying to try a restaurant but don't want to go alone - I'm you're girl.
