I have used couchsurfing a few times and love how it allows you to meet new people and gives you an insight into what locals do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing to me means more than just a free place to sleep at. Each time I've done it so far, it has made the travel experience a lot richer because it gave me a perspective I couldn't get as a "normal" tourist: Getting a feeling for the way of life at that place and diving in with them.
