About Me
Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Toshi. I currently live in Rwanda.
Here is a brief history of my life.
- I was born and raised in a small town in the middle part of Japan, surrounded by mountains, rice farm, and deer. I'm the youngest of three boys.
- I lived in Tokyo for about 5 years for my study and work. I majored in political science.
- I lived in Tustin, California, the US for 1 year to study at UC Irvine.
- After graduating from my university, I've been a teacher and a grape farmer, for about a year each.
Fact about me.
- My current occupation: volunteer. I work with local agricultural officers, farmers, and producers to improve the quality and quantity of coffee.
- My passion: biology/ bouldering/ sport climbing/ singing/ guitar/ weight training/ coffee/ climbing mountains/ camping/ photo/ video/ learning French.
- My character: friendly and curious. I enjoy meeting and talking with new people since it brings me so much information I don't have, which will consequently broaden my perspective a lot. I'm looking forward to talking and sharing thoughts and views with many people.
Where I live.
- I live in the district that has Akagera National Park so you could stop by on the way from Kigali.
- Not only can I provide accommodation, but I can also help you in various ways. i.e. providing you with basic information about Rwanda such as how public transportation works, social norms, recommendations on restaurants, etc.
If you're kind enough to host me, I'm willing to bring you some souvenirs from Rwanda, such as coffee beans or nuts.
I'm looking forward to seeing you. Thank you for reading.
