About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to have fun and meet new people! I LOVE to travel! I have visited almost all 50 US states and lived and worked in 10 of them! I used to live in Monterey, California, then I moved to Georgia, then Maryland, then Vermont. Now I'm back in SoCal, learning how to survive in LA! That said, I am NOT interested in meeting men for hook-ups or for dating! I am NOT on CS to find a spouse, one-night stand, or boyfriend!
ABOUT ME
I love foreign languages, traveling, and going to school. I was in the US Army for a few years, before that I was a French teacher and now I am back in graduate school. I am currently studying Social Work at the University of Southern California. Come stay on my couch sometime! :o)
PHILOSOPHY
Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about reinventing yourself!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed a lot and hosted a few times. I also like the meet-up groups where the CS community gets together. Great way to meet like-minded people!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a mostly great experience on couchsurfing, I hope this trend continues. I have surfed couches in the US and in Paris, France.
Interests
languages, travel, hiking, biking, reading, anything outdoors. I am obsessed with Paris, France; every time I return it's like visiting an old friend.
I have a garden where I grow vegetables and flowers, I also love renovating old houses and driving around the US. Road trips are great!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the French movies "Amelie," "Midnight in Paris, and also "Paris je t'aime" and my favorite book... I don't think I have one, I like so many of them! I'm also working on my own book right now about my experiences as a soldier in Iraq.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
seeing the ruins of Babylon in Iraq... it was AWESOME!
Teach, Learn, Share
I share what I can! I help teach French to beginning French students at my school, I used to teach English when I lived in Paris.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fun, a love of hard cider, music, books and travel. I hope I can show others that not all Americans are small-minded and self-absorbed.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, England, France, Germany, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
