When I was traveling around Lago de Atitlan, Pablo invited me and my friend to stay with him. I am very glad that I accepted his invitation, because I was able to gain insight about the life of a Mayan family, insight that marked me forever in a very positive way.
I had a lot of fun learning how to make tortillas that we later shared for dinner. I also enjoyed helping his sister with chopping vegetables that she sells on a local market - it reminded me on my childhood when I was doing it with my granny :)
If you have a chance, don't miss his beautiful family, it will enrich you for sure!

Mi primer experiencia en CS fue con Pablo Chumil, todo un tipazo. Su familia fue muy calida; Nan, Silvia, Ana, Abraham, Maria, Marcelo y Marcela. Además de otros 6 cs con los que compartimos espacio. Apredí mucho sobre Sololá, Panajachel, Lago de Atitlán, y sobre todo sobre la cultura Guatemalteca. Natiesh Amigo (wey) jajajaja.

Pablo and his family are very warm and loving. 6 other people were surfing at the same time as me. We all gathered in the kitchen area and prepared a traditional mayan meal together. It was also fun to work together to help his sister to prepare vegetables for selling in the market. If you want to have an authentic Mayan CSing experience this is the place to go!

Staying with Pablo was incredible! Thank you SOOOO much! He and his family is so incredibly nice, and they were so generous. I actually got sick with stomach parasites while at his place, and was so fortunate to be able to rest in a private room with my travel partner while I was there. They are so authentically Mayan, staying with them was a blessing and a rare treat, one that I am endlessly grateful for. Plus Pablo is so knowledgeable about the land, and about the Mayans, it was such a pleasure chatting with him. Thank you again for everything! I highly recommend hosting with Pablo & his family. Thank you x a million!

she is awesome dancing, a happy girl from Cordova, we did a group tour with others CS to the mayan village san juan trying the local food and taking pictures! then we travel to antigua by chiken bus!

Pablo and his family were great! He set us up with his neighbor (Manuel) for 5 nights, we had a little cultural exchange with Manuel and his family (very cool). We had dinner with Pablo's family most nights. This was a very unique and enjoyable CS experience. Thanks Pablo!

Very nice talking and exchenching experiences of life, im glad he arrive at home he arrive by tuc tuc from the city Solola Very late and he found ouf house
that was very inpressve
we show to him how to was his clothe by hand. we dont use laundry but my wife washes the clothes if you ask!
