ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous, open minded person with a rather sarcastic sense of humour. I like to speak my mind and don't offend easily. Working as a Cruise Director on European Rivers, I'm gone most of the year, but I hibernate working from home in the winter months in Vancouver. Naturally, I love to travel when I'm not working. I lead high-end cruises and tours throughout the most popular places in in both Europe and North America, but when I travel for leisure, I backpack and choose to go off-the-beaten path as much as possible. All-inclusive and Vegas type holidays are not for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Informally, I've hosted many friends throughout the years, but since I've joined the network I've hosted a handfull of couch surfers and only surfed once or twice. The experience has been overall great, although some members have a different idea about couchsurfing. This made me more sceptical about the altruism and the noble idea of offering lodging to strangers with no ulterior motive..
