Work as a freelance journalist in London.

I have a news wire supplying the national papers and go out and about covering news stories for them too.

Average around 12 weeks a year travelling.

Don't have/do some things others of my age would swear by - not married, no children, don't own my own home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing has always worked well for me and I have also stayed with plenty of people/families on my travels.

Interests

Love travel - off shortly to the under 21s Euros in the Czech Republic. Most recent trips were Amsterdam, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the World Cup in Brazil.

On my iPod - music to soothe me on the horrible Tube in London: Katie Mehlua, Norah Jones, Joss Stone, Dido, Shakira.

Currently reading '23 Sweet FAs' - story of two English lads who carried a table football set overland to the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, stopping off at 23 national football associations to challenge the heads to matches. They got Pele and England players on their table, persuaded FIFA to give them tickets to the final and carried the table up Everest along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was knocked off the approach to the Great Wall of China hundreds of feet up in the air by a stray donkey and ended up hanging Hollywood-style from a small shrub until rescued from certain death by some locals.
