ABOUT ME

I'm a fashion designer, tailor, and lifelong Texan. I live and work with my husband, and our dog in an old house in a lively, gritty, historic part of Dallas. We like cooking with friends, hanging out on the front porch drinking wine, and traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A Parisian friend whom I met while studying abroad in London 3 years ago just visited while on a couch surfing trip across the southwest USA. We ended up inviting another couch surfer he'd met in San Antonio to stay with us too. It was a wonderful experience. Since then I've had a couple from Australia and a sweet young woman from Santa Fe stay here too. Every time someone has come to stay I have noticed new things about my city and spent quality time with lovely people, so I plan to keep on doing it.

I've built a very good life as part of a vibrant diverse and interconnected community, I married a man who genuinely loves his life and his job, and my house's flower garden blooms almost year round. I'd say that combo is pretty rare and amazing. At least, it amazes me all the time.

I'm a fashion designer and seamstress with a full functioning workroom in the house, so I can definitely teach you a little something about anything involving fabric and thread. I run a small business so I always enjoy talking to other entrepreneurs. I LOVE to watch people cook to learn new things about food.
