PHILOSOPHY

i am reading this donald miller book right now (well, two years ago when I wrote this part of my profile) about how we all want stories, and God is telling a story with our lives. just as he is the great creator and storyteller, we are made in his image so we are made to create as well and we want to be storytellers. and no one wants to live a boring, meaningless story. characters in stories have desires, adventures, face conflict, learn things, and they change. "if the point of life is the same as the point of a story, the point of life is character transformation."

in couch surfing? hopefully by sleeping on your couch. I may draw a portrait of you while I'm there, and we will have fine conversations while I fold your blankets and pick up after myself. also i can show you Raleigh, north Carolina if you ever come here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the thrill of catching some gnarly couch-surfing waves--in Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, Alicante, Valencia, and Amsterdam. Hotels are ruined for me now.

I took a bunch of inner-city kids on a camping trip. they were convinced the raccoons and armadillos outside our tent would kill us...but we survived!

I can give art and art history lessons, English and Italian lessons, piano lessons, and if you're really special I might even let you in on the secret of my infamous caramel popcorn. I would like to learn more Spanish and become more inspired to cook. some yoga or self-defense or dance moves might be cool, too.
