If I could, a family bike ride would be my wife on my back and my kid on my shoulders.
I love my wife and son.
We ride, we read, we talk. And we're inspired by great neighbors in a great city.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to love others and spread joy by choosing to be joyful. It's contagious.

To not waste my life. To not waste a day. Life is fleeting, and life is a gift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will meet you with bikes and we can bike around and drink coffee or beer.

I have only surfed (in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, NYC, Boston and Steamboat) and not yet hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been part of a terrific trip to Steamboat, Colorado in January 07 for 4 nights; a wonderful, inspiring visit to Ron's home for 2 nights in Toronto; a stop in Montreal at Magali's; a weekend in Halifax with Chels; a great visit in Quebec City at Nancy's; a fantastic time in Manhattan with Val and a solid stay in Boston with David!

Interests

reading, writing and listening to music with my wife, NPR, playing on mountains, riding bikes, breathing deep, reading, drinking lots of water, coffee, glaring at the beautiful moon, using all my senses, loving life and people, with my wife.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I watched my strong wife labor and push out a beautiful person into the world, giving birth to a little boy. Our son is the coolest. If you get a chance to watch a human give birth-- DO IT and be amazed.

I got to ride my bicycle 1500 miles summer 2006 from Colorado to Georgia. I camped out, showered little, met neat people, consumed a lot of food and water, got stuck in crazy storms and saw pretty things. Amazing! I am a lucky son of a gun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I try to avoid tv. waste. politics.

I have learned to appreciate space. peace. joy. trust. openness. bikes. the moon (is so rad). grace.

I seek to be self-aware. It is important to understand the effect we have on people next to us, after us.

Ecclesiastes in the Bible depicts a helpful portrayal of what life is. Even if you're not a bible-believer, you can be a bible-reader, there are good things in that book. I recommend Ecclesiastes 3.
