ABOUT ME

I'm a freelance journalist based in Madrid, Spain, and I write for several publications in the US and Europe. I cover Spain as well as North Africa, so I was writing about the recent revolutions in North Africa.

I also run a group called ArchaeoSpain (www.archaeospain.com), which organizes international teams that join archaeological excavations in Spain and Italy. I've been a bit swamped with work over the last few years, so I hope to dedicate a lot of time in the near future to wandering...

Musica, film e libri

I watch a lot of movies. One film I saw recently which blew my mind was Rififi, a French movie from the 50s directed by a blacklisted US director about a jewel heist. And I'll watch anything with a sword fight in it. I just read a masterpiece called A Fine Balance about India.

I discovered a huge cache of skeletons in a secret cave beneath a Roman funerary temple in a Middle Eastern desert. And I once ate nine cheeseburgers in one sitting on a long road trip through the Midwest. And on my last trip through Asia I discovered that I have a knack for finding dead bodies...
