About Me
A dreamer, learner and risk-taker who calls Vietnam her home and the world her adventure.
Check out my blog about my studying and traveling experiences in India, Brazil and South Africa: https://abroadabroadweb.wordpress.com
I also do some writing about traveling and living Vietnam for an online blog: http://vietcetera.com/travel-guide-when-is-the-best-time-to-visit-vietnam/
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few years ago I read a book by a daring Vietnamese girl, Huyen Chip, who travelled around the world with Couchsurfing as her "best friend". My mind was blown away by all the life-changing interactions and epic experience this girl had with the people she met through Couchsurfing. Instantly I knew I wanted to put Couchsuring on my to-do-list. After a few times being hosted by super friendly and cool Couchsurfers, who have made my traveling experiences so memorable with their local wisdom and welcoming vibe, I know this is the community I want to be a part of.
I hope to enrich my life through every unique Couchsurfing experience, and hope to do the same to my hosts as well!
Interests
I have had considerable experiences leading community projects for national and international social organizations, especially those related to education and youth empowerment. I have a bigger, lifelong interest in social enterprises, or any type of business with impact that seek to create social values beyond the profit bottom line. My dream is to set up a social enterprise of my own. My vision is to find my voice and help others find theirs.
I am an eager traveling spirits and a strong advocate of traveling on one's own! I also love listening to and reflecting on other people's stories, and I am super excited about ideas or organizations that adopt a human-centered approach in their action. Other things that will make my eyes light up include a book, a coffee chat with friends or some solitude moments just taking a deep breath or sketching/ writing to connect with my inner voice.

Music, Movies, and Books
Folk and indie music. Or actually, anything that sounds resonating with my emotions/ mood.
Business/ personal development books or literature books that depicts urgent social/ political/ historical social issues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled to a rural area in Beijing on my own, with limited Chinese and 150yuan on me as my asset. On that trip I tried out my luck crashing overnight in a random inn and ended up forming dear friendship with the inn owner and his family!
Teach, Learn, Share
Just do things that minimize my contradictions.
