About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi! I am a Uni student in Singapore. I'm easy to be friend with. I'm visiting US in August for my 6-month exchange. This is my first time to get out of Asia. So excited!
I love both noisy and quiet places and easily adapt to a new environment. I'm quite emotional when it comes to family and love. But I have been away from my family for more than 7 years since I was a teenager.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm used to take everything personally when I was a teenager. The more I grow up, the more I learn how to forget and forgive ( but not for criminal and inhuman activities of course). I also spend more time to care about the people I love, they are everything I have that matters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about CS from my friend and I thought that it was an amazing idea. Saving money on accommodation is great, but making new friends is even more valuable.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately, I have yet had the chance to host anybody because when I heard about CS, I was about to move to the U.S for my exchange program. Really looking forward to when I am back in Singapore and become a host
Interests
Travel, travel and travel...I find all means to save money on shopping, dining and commuting, just so that I have more for traveling purposes. I want to travel as much as possible when I am still young, and settle down at a favorite place when I am older.
One thing that I always want to do is to learn how to surf (not surfing net - I already know that so well). Ironically my sense of balance does not work most of the time, I can't even roller blade.

Music, Movies, and Books
Doreamon - an all-time favorite Japanese manga that every Asian kid loves
Tangled - I watched it 4 times and I'm still obsessed with it
Nobody's Boy - a perfect, touching children's book (oh, for adults as well because I still love it so much)
White Fang - another favorite piece
Les Miserables - I read it long time ago when I was a 13-year-old kid
The Vietnamese-American - from which I learn about my country's past with blood and tears
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 2.5 months in Taiwan teaching culture classes to Primary school students, speaking nothing other than body language to the locals and the students and were still able to maintain a good relationship with them.
I participated in my school event in which I ran 14km to raise charity fund (well, nothing compared to those who run a full marathon). But I am so proud of myself (and most of other students are) because we only had a few months to train and before that we could hardly run 1km without panting and gasping for air.
Teach, Learn, Share
I was born and grew up in Southeast Asia. Spent my life in both a well-developed country (Singapore) and developing country (Vietnam). I can share with you how different they are, what you can expect and the dos and don'ts.
