About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling, learning, laughing & loving: Living a happy, full, bullsh*t-free existence!

ABOUT ME

At first I can seem a little shy, but I'm actually a cheeky, sarcastic little renegade who tries to bend the rules and go unnoticed by the rule-makers instead of crashing head-on against the status quo.

I'm also a helpless idealist & daydreamer. My aim (what choice do I have) is to balance my passion for the marvellous, non-televized unknown with the basic work-sustenance requirements imposed by the monetary system.

I'm generally a joyful, open-minded and laid-back person, and I always try to be ALIVE & awake, and make good use of my chaotic, curious little mind. All I want from life is to live happily, prosper (hahahaha), meet other similarly crazy people and enjoy the ride (and even perhaps try to drive it from time to time).

PHILOSOPHY

Learning from everyone and everything, evolving and devolving as a person, trying to create real, human, bonds with other people & not taking life too seriously. Float more, steer less! :)

Put The Tibetan Book of the Dead, Siddhartha (Herman Hesse), The Prophet (Khalil Gibran), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams) & Monty Python in a blender and you pretty much have my life philosophy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be travelling in a camper van, so I don't need a couch to crash on, only the chance to meet new people who I can share stories, experiences & (pleasant/odd) conversations with.

And, of course, whenever I have a place of my own, I'll host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very satisfied amateur

Interests

Tragedy, depression, lack of purpose, small-talk & sedentarianism :)

Seriously...pretty much everything else: Life! Psychology! The cosmos! Barbecues? Mojitos?

Nature, sunsets, animals, hiking, rock-climbing, surfing, travelling, new experiences, naïve, youthful self-righteousness, literature, philosophy, irony, music, photography, doing- what I feel like, meeting new people, learning, partying & having fun. Nothing original, just what every normal/crazy (choose the correct option) person would want

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to start listing. Anything that's imaginative, interesting, constructive, critical or funny.

Anything between Amélie, 2001:Space Odyssey and The Life of Brian, or between Plato's Republic, The Pillars of the Earth and Douglas Adams.

And music: there's a song (or several) for every mood and moment. Creedence, Clapton. the Blues Brothers, the Stones, the Boss, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Katie Melua...Dubstep, Psytrance, Psy-anything...you name it. Plus a series of other odd genres that don't exist yet, or I haven't yet been acquainted with, which I'm sure will also fit in somewhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up to life. It took a while, I must say, but has definitely been the beginning of something amazing.

Attending the O.Z.O.R.A. festival in Hungary (2011) is also one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught English for a living, to both children and adults, for many years (although English shouldn't be much of a problem for anyone who's reading this right now...), as well as Spanish.

I love cinema (good cinema), and have tons of movies & music to share, plus a load of ebooks on pretty much any subject! And time, stories, unhinged philosophical notions, ridiculously self-obvious epiphanies & more silly & profound abstractions of the sort.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Slovenia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Spain, United States
