About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bit cliché but, to find myself (a little bit)

ABOUT ME

Half the point of setting out on this journey is to be better able to answer this question.I'm passionate about whatever I turn my hand to. I get as much excitement from a massive party on the beach as from a mellow evening with a few friends and a guitar. I love being around people, whether the conversation's serious or nonsensical. I have long hair, play acoustic guitar and am trying not to live up to the 'Hippy' stereotype (mainly by backpacking through India :)I'm enjoying travelling so much, having the oppertunity to meet this many amazing people, expeince diffrent cultures and do it all on a shoe-string is just phenomenal. I am a wanna be Philosopher, going to study it next year when i finish traveling. Being ontologically quizzical makes me relate to life in a slightly quirky manner. I once spent so much time trying to 'wake up' from the matrix, that i gave myself a headache :(check out my facebook at http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=673832263

PHILOSOPHY

Being as open as I can be to every opportunity that comes my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Fundamentally I am here to learn and absorb anything people have to offer. At the moment that means asking for a place to stay and later to return the favour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never tried this before, I was introduced by a friend and think it's a fantastic opportunity.

Interests

There are very few things I'm not interested in and I'm traveling to experience new things that i never thought would interest me.

Traveling, Learning, Smiling, Festivals, Laughing, Protest Marching, Music, Guitar, Philosophy and Friendship.

Music, Movies, and Books

Quite seriously into all three :D
Movies: anything thought provoking or funny: Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly, 4 Weddings and a Funeral, Spirited Away, In Bruges, Life of Brain, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stranger than Fiction, The Usual Suspects, Shaun of the Dead, Almost Famous, The Matrix, V for Venddetta, 12 Monkeys etc

Music: Rock and acoustic: The Beatles, The Kinks, The Stones, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Marley, Muse, Black Sabbath, the Cure, Roots Manuva, Leonard Cohen, Martha Tilston, Newton Faulkner, Van Morrison pretty much anything.

Books: Too many to mention: The Little Prince, The Man Who Was Thursday, The Trial, everything Herman Hess, Philip K Dick and Terry Prattchet ever wrote. Especially Siddhartha, The three stigmata of Palma Eldrich and Small Gods. Ursla K Laguin books..
Lots of Philosophers I don't pretend to completely understand like Sartre, Camus and Kafka. Descartes, Kant and Plato.
Also like poets such as: Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Blake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fell in love once, nothing really beats it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a hell of a lot more to learn than I do to teach, but I taught myself guitar and would be happy to jam with players or teach newbies a few chords.

I am a wannabe Philosopher and love debating anything from which came first (the chicken or the egg) to moral, political and metaphysical conundrums.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Greece, Spain, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, United Kingdom
