About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, Meet the locals, Enjoy life, Repeat.

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the suburbs of NYC. I've always had this intense excitement and awareness of the 'rest of the world'...in a place where so many people get stuck into somewhat narrow-minded thoughts of the daily grind in New York City, I like to take a moment to think about how much is really out there, outside of this little bubble we live in. I was grateful to travel to India to visit the majority of my family (grandparents, cousins, etc.) at the ages of 7, 13, and 20, and have studied abroad in Spain and surrounding areas. And it was amazing!

At this point in my life, I work full time but also have recently started a business on the side. I'd like to live "off the grid" sometime soon...the 1 year goal is to quit the job, live (and teach) abroad, and run my business remotely. Idealistic? Maybe. But definitely possible, and I will make it happen!

PHILOSOPHY

Every moment of life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. I still struggle at times to fully follow my dreams (i.e. quit my job asap! and teach abroad), but I try my best to take advantage of all that life has to offer.

Relationships with one another are the fruit of life, and more importantly relationships outside of our zone of comfort (meeting new people, with different viewpoints, from other parts of the world) can be such an enlightening experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have traveled out of the U.S. in the past to India, Spain, Morocco, Portugal and Mexico (Spring break, so I guess it was less 'travel' and more partying lol)

Last international trip was in December 2011 to Australia...amazing!(Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane)

Finally made it to the Western U.S. in July 2012...Cali, Vegas and the Grand Canyon!!!

Places I would love to visit: EVERYWHERE, but more specifically...Brazil, China, Egypt, the rest of Europe, Japan, Indonesia, Argentina, Peru, Russia, Kenya...the list goes on forever and it's really just about every single country in the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet but really looking forward to it soon.

Am excited to host new people in NYC!
