ABOUT ME

I love traveling and I wanted to study abroad for many years, and I finally made it. I spent 10.5 months studying in France in college, and travelling around Europe every free second I got. I love to read, and be outside. I love to go out, but I also always enjoy sitting down and having long conversations with the new people I meet as well.

I am very easy-going and independent. I am perfectly content with traveling on my own, but of course it's always fun with other people. If I come to stay on your couch, I am perfectly fine with just being there to sleep and letting you do your own thing if need be. However I am always open to spending time getting to know you, and I am open to any advice you have on things I should see while I am in your city. If you have time and would like to show me around, that would be great too! I'm pretty flexible and I realize that as a surfer, I need to work around your schedule as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once, so experience everything you can while you can. The opportunity may not come around again.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a few times in the US, and spent a year in Europe travelling like crazy. I couchsurfed all over the place, and loved every minute of it. My job keeps me pretty busy these days so surfing doesn't happen very often, but I'd like to host you if I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 5 people in the States, and have couch surfed in Belgium, England, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Norway, Latvia, Sweden, Lithuania, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. They have all been great experiences so far, and I've met a bunch of incredible people. I can't wait to go again!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

-Taking a cablecar up the mountains in the French Alps and seeing the amazing view.
-Sitting on the wall of Sforza Castle in Varenna, Italy looking out over Lake Como and seeing the Alps of 4 different countries in the distance.
-Celebrating Janis Day in the Latvian countryside, sitting on the bank of the Daugava River, seeing Riga on the horizon, when the sun never set and it was light all night.
-Seeing Wicked and Avenue Q all in the same day in London, riding around on the double decker bus, and discovering Camden Market.
-Riding a camel in Morocco, right next to the Atlantic Ocean.
-Watching a thunderstorm at 2am over a lake in Montana with incredible lightning, and flipping the whitewater raft in Glacier National Park in 40 degree water.

I learn best from personal experience, so traveling is my way of learning geography, culture, language, and conversation. Where ever I go, I love to learn at least a few words in the language if it is foreign, and pretty much anything about the area.
