About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the world, mostly on my own.

ABOUT ME

I left my job as a university administrator to pursue my passion for travel! I have found that traveling is really the best way to get to know yourself because it forces you out of your comfort zone and teaches you about the world around you. I am curious, creative, and excited by new opportunities. I am currently 6 months into my 10-month adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

The golden rule: treat others as you wish to be treated. I think if everyone lived by this motto, the world would be a happier, safer, more caring place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people from different cultures. I believe that there is a lot we can learn from each other, and Couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed one couch, years ago, but I look forward to trying more, or at least meeting up with other open-minded people along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

most music (except country and rap); funny and sappy movies (so romantic comedies are perfect for me); still in recovery from my graduate degree so not reading much for pleasure just yet

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam in Devil's Pool, a natural infinity pool at the edge of Victoria Falls. I literally looked over the edge down to the bottom of the falls!

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that rubbing vitamin E on wounds (like stitches or scabs) can make it heal better, making scars less pronounced? Especially great for hikers or athletes to know. Check it out here:
