About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live without regrets when I cross the finish line.
ABOUT ME
I live on a half acre in the middle of town that is my oasis. I am a night owl and don't keep a regular schedule. I work out of my home. Not a smoker so don't allow smoking in my home.
I am a positive, laid back, energetic person that loves to find humor in things even if it has to be myself. I like to think outside the box and believe anything is possible...even if you have to sleep in your car.
PHILOSOPHY
I am living, and am happy, especially when I am relating to people. Friends and family are most important. But throw traveling and new experiences into the equation, and I am at the top of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been sharing my couch and extra room with people for many years outside of couchsurfing.org. For example, I have enjoyed housing bands that come to play for a dance organization I participate in. In return, I have been offered couches and have taken the offers when I needed one. I have loved doing both and have had many wonderful experiences. I also did an wonderful homestay in Japan. I am still in contact with my Japanese hosts, since 2000, as well as many of my other guests/now friends. My last couch was in Portland, ME in a workshop where a friend I met along the way makes violins. Since Nov 2011 I have hosted many people. In 2013 I intend to start my own world tour and find some couches so I can meet more cool people. UPDATE: I did travel the world and visited 22 countries that year. Since then I have added a few more.
Interests
I love to try and enjoy most everything...hiking, canoeing, skiing, dancing, art, rock climbing, non-technical mountain climbing, hanging with friends, theater, movies, gardening, renovating my house, camping, and...last but hardly least, traveling!!! and exploring, learning about people and cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
my favorite movies seem to be ones that are based on real life stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cannot pick just one: The last one was backpacking around the world...a dream come true! Flying on the trapeze a couple years ago was the biggest rush of adrenaline I can ever imagine! But then there is Yosemite defining "breathtaking", and climbing two 14,000 ft mountains in Colorado that took my breath away (I couldn't help but sob!) How do I pick just one. I am assuming you know giving birth to my children was number one in the amazing department.
