About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To treat spacetime as the dream it is. I.E. This means you can explore it right. Might as well make it a more interesting dream. See y'around this consciousness.

ABOUT ME

I'm a wake up seeker music guy. I went to Europe - France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany in the summers of 2007 and 2008, also the summer of 1984 when I was a young teenager. Different countries the different years but always France when I was there. I loved it. I have no reason to stay anywhere that is not interesting to me. All everywhere could be where I live. I'm tending toward a Saddhu's value system - i.e. wandering and no longer hypnotized by material attachments.
This traveling is part of seeing I'm not trapped in space any more than in time or in the illusion of the entire physical universe. And seeing that you're not. See, GOT THE COMPLETE IDEA. So why not MOVE? We can have big metaphysical talks or not, doesnt really matter. I'm getting kind of bored with yakkety yak myself. The light is coming, the consciousness debate or speech or talk is well enough known to let the idea roots just grow. We're hitting this consciousness and I speak free thought.
I was Born in New York Hospital. I Grew up right on the Hudson river in Nyack New York.
My Dad, who's dead now, was an artist, freelance writer, painter, and sculptor. Believe it or not he was in the navy in World War 2 when he was 17. He was on a destroyer called the Longshaw. It ran around and blew up and he had to dive off and swim under burning gasoline on the surface to escape. Serious. He had to clean guns at 3am in freezing cold shwooshing waves and dangerous tossing storms. He had to pray kamikaze's weren't headed for his ship when they flew over. He shot a Japanese guy who was trying to dynamite the ship once. He said that was enough to last him the rest of his life. He was a brilliant if troubled man. Encyclopedic knowledge. Very Creative but in a down to earth way. He built geometric mathematical sculptures out of metal, wood, wire, anything he could find. Painted, wrote, worked on all kinds of strange projects. Knew a lot of famous people including Ted Kennedy and Allen Dulles (CIA head in the 60s), also writers and painters like Andy Warhol and Jack Kerouac. Dulles was an evil son of a bitch. I didn't say they were friends I just said he knew him.
My Mom is a psychotherapist in New York City. She's helped a lot of screwed up people.
Both my parents spent time in Europe, mainly France. My father's first wife was French, and he studied art in Paris. So they both speak French. I took it in school so I speak it quite well, especially from chatting in it and traveling a lot there in the summers of 1984 (when I was a young teenager)and in 2007 and 2008.
I'm mainly a musician but I also do painting and wood working. And writing. I've been building cool geometric things out of wood that are just like the kind of thing my Dad would have built.
I also do general carpentry/remodeling/handyman work. I like that a lot. I like being outdoors and just doing good honest work like that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted yet using this site though I've definitely hosted travelers in a more informal way that I've simply met. I've been hosted using it a few times (see below). I would like to use it more since it's a really great resource as far as online resources go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled around France and other European countries but only used couch surfing once there and then in Minneapolis a couple of times when I came there and in Portland once around when I arrived. The rest of the time I did couch surfing without any web site: just met people and crashed with them. Also people I'd met online.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When my twin brother and I turned 15, on our 15th birthday, we climbed a beautiful mountain near Mt. Blanc in Chamonix France. Mont Blanc could be seen dissapearing way up into the clouds from the summit. Then my brother and I slid down on a huge glacial snow flow. It was cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yeah good question, what do you have to teach? I have to teach WAKE UP. This world is more illusory than you may have imagined. You're freer than you may have imagined.

Also I'm an experienced musician (jazz, rock, even classical).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music (i.e. I can play guitar or piano in the living room, for parties, etc.), carpentry/construction/handyman work, general help around the house, enlightening conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands
