ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm a French man working at IBM Research Almaden in San Jose, CA. I moved here with my fiancée after almost 2 years at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, after 5 years in Cyprus where I worked for an EU project that had the ambition to implant a sonar in the brain of blind people so they can see as bats and dolphins do. I love to travel, meet people from different culture and learn new languages.
I studied in France (Nantes, Grenoble, Lyon), Italy (Torino), Swizerland (Lausanne), the Netherland (Enschede) and Nicosia (Cyprus). I lived also 1 summer in Cambridge and 4 months in the USA (Baltimore, Telluride).
Have a nice day!
PHILOSOPHY
A force de ne pas vivre comme on pense, on finit par penser comme on vit. By dint of not living as one thinks, one ends up thinking as he lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Always a great experience. Hosting people seems to be the best way to prepare future trips and have a lot of fun and nice talks! statistically it seems to be somewhere between Gdansk and Krakow :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First time registering on the website, but when i was in Swizerland we hosted a couple of Portugueses people in our student flats. Great experience!
So my real first CS experience is over it was great, we had lots of fun and i even discovered places i didn't know around!
the usual meeting point is at Eleftherias Square in the old town (http://goo.gl/maps/UVax) in the evening. It's at the beginning of the Ledras street that leads to the checkpoint to cross to the north/turkish/other/occupied side (choose the one you prefer, some people here are very sensitive on which one you will but I don't personally :) )
Thanks to Ryanair I've been hosting almost exclusively Polish folks in the last months and gifted of nice polish chocolate/vodka. Any traditional cake next??
