About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wake up every single day and ask myself "If this day was my last, would I be able to say I was satisfied with what I have done with my life? My mission is to always be able to answer a stronger yes every single day.

ABOUT ME

I am a bubbly person who usually has lots of energy and is always up for an adventure- whatever it may be! I love to be outside doing mostly anything: hiking, camping, rock climbing, windsurfing, walking, playing on the beach, or just reading a book on my deck. I adore traveling and that love has taken me to places around the whole world. I am always dreaming of my next adventure. New Zealand was the most recent one where my partner and I travelled around for a year in our van Dorothy. Next stop- Madagascar? As much as an outdoorsy person that I am, I am also a closet geek. I could be completely happy just playing video games for the afternoon, although my skills are highlighted in the old school systems. I love meeting new people from any walk of life because everyone has a wonderful story, all you need to do is listen. I also love baseball. I am a Boston native so the Red Sox are one of my true loves in life. I tend to get a little Sox-crazy around the post-season (if they are in it of course). Fall is my favorite season because of the amazing foliage and the smell. I adore the smell of fall- dead leaves...Mmmmm. I am also in love with anything pumpkin flavored, so naturally I would love the autumn. I am a very happy person who just loves to have fun. I am on a constant mission to better myself and become a more balanced, knowledgable person.

PHILOSOPHY

Make decisions that will make you happy and a better person. And never regret them- they happened for a reason, even if you can't see it yet. One of my favorite quotes sums up my motivation "Nobody made a bigger mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little." -Edmund Burke

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I don't give this wonderful site the attention it deserves. I think the concept is one that I have participated in my whole life and I have always had a spare seat to give to someone on an adventure. I tend to be out in person interacting with travelers and then finding out they also have a couchsurfing profile rather than first finding them through the site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted tons of people on my couch in my life, although all have been either through my personal contact or they get in touch with my partner on his cs account as he is the better organizer of the two of us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fantasy books, bluegrass/country/folk music, comedy movies. I like movies a lot, I love music of most any kind that I can sing or rock out to, and I love to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have cliff dove off of a 60' rock in Fiji over a beautiful waterfall, seen a lioness take down a wildebeast 75 feet from where I was watching, I caught, roasted, and ate locusts from a Thai rice field, I removed gorse and old mans beard from the wild lands of New Zealand. And none of this compares to what I have planned!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair bit about wildlife and animals, specifically reptiles. I also really want to practice spanish with people who are willing to let me butcher the language. I can teach anyone I stay with how to whistle with an acorn cap, make an origami crane, hula hoop, and do a hand stand. You want to learn those things- I can help!
