Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I constantly seek to learn and expand awareness, through a dialog supported by empathy and reflection
ABOUT ME
I seek to find and bring joy in life. Learning and understanding are hugely important to me. I seek to learn and teach, while engaging thoughtfully with those around me. Traveling facilitates these goals. Some of my most real, life changing, perspective altering, exciting, different, breath taking, eye opening...experiences have happened when traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
Reflection and awareness. Communication and understanding. Loving Life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Any way I can. Looking forward to hosting more people in the future, when I have a couch. Surfed around South America. And met up with fellow travelers and locals along the way. I have also really enjoyed some of the meet ups organized on couch surfing. Also, a great way to stay connected with people I have met along the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted only one couch surfer and can't wait to have a home again and to welcome more people. My experience couch surfing in South America was truly amazing! Kind people opened up their homes to me and added so much to my travel experience. They helped me to broaden my horizons and have a unique, meaningful cultural experience. I have learned a great deal about sharing, inviting and hospitality that I hope to share with others in the future.
Interests
I love traveling. Good conversations. Skiing. Being outside. Nature. Science. Critically reflecting on our culture and ways of life. Cooking. Yoga. Live music. Dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a hard time picking favorites. I am currently reading "God of Small Things". I love a lot of types of music, especially live. I love dancing to live music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I unknowingly ate guinea pig soup with a Quetchua family when I was 6, and loved it.
Spent 2 weeks sharing a one room house with a family in rural Tlaxcala, Mexico and learned the true meaning of hospitality.
Snorkeled with barracuda in the Caribbean.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in developing my understanding and awareness of healing practices, from traditional western medicine to indigenous healing to yoga to acupuncture to other alternative healing philosophies, all incorporating an appreciation of connection, interrelatedness and awareness.
