About Me

ABOUT ME

I moved from Canada to Berlin on a whim five years ago for a Rage Against the Machine concert.

I've jumped around from studying, to working as a freelance writer, to now learning how to program. I'm a volunteer student with the Rails Girls Summer of Code and am working on an open source project for three months.

When I'm not staring at the computer, I read, hang out in our WG's kleingarten, go biking, and paint glass bottles.

PHILOSOPHY

"Thoughts become things"
and
"Nonresistance, nonjudgement and nonattachment are the three aspects of true freedom and enlightened living"

Music, Movies, and Books

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, fantastic fantastic travel read. I'm trying to get through the Foundation books by Asimov at the moment, but I'm also stuck in the midst of Harry Potter and The Theories of Rationality.

I love stupid movies like Spinal Tap, Napoleon Dynamite, the old Batman, Team America. I also really like documentaries.
