About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I live in a small house but my windows look out onto a very big world.

ABOUT ME

I think 30 really is fabulous!!

The most magical place I've ever been is underwater.

The best job I've ever had was working as a divemaster. 12 hour days, 7 days a week...but I got to wear my bikini to work!

I have one reoccurant dream of dying. I drown.

I've made a bucket list (stand on all seven continents, see the taj majal, dive with great whites....etc).

I have a thing for cemetaries and churches.

I've always known I get attached to things but just recently realized I get very attached to people. I need to learn to let them go too....gently.

I think crying is a healthy response to both pleasure and pain.

I believe my cats really are little women in fur coats!

I feel my way through the world with my heart. It often leaves me vulnerable...but also opens me up to so many beautiful possibilities.

PHILOSOPHY

"We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

...by putting 100% of my heart into whatever I do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm waiting...

Interests

Meaningful conversations over coffee, tea, or a good glass (bottle) of wine; Traveling; People watching; Scuba diving; Looking at, sitting by, or being under the water; Reading; Writing; Art in any form of expression; Music that takes me somewhere; Hiking; Snowboarding; Sunshine; Faith (not to be confused with religion); Buddhist philosophy; People that are interested in being interested rather than interesting; Living every day like it's both my first and my last.

Music, Movies, and Books

Because there's too many to choose from...the last movie I saw was "We Bought a Zoo". It was PG but I cried like a baby. The best book I've read since being in Africa is "Poisonwood Bible". Barbara Kingsolver nailed it. And my musical taste has always been ecclectic. Shuffle either gets it really wrong, or really right.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Antarctica with my dad. When we were on the skiff moving through icebergs the size of mountains, I remember thinking..."if there is a heaven, this must be what it looks like"
