CURRENT MISSION

making the world just a liiittle bit smaller :-) showing you around my wonderful city and finding friends all over the world... :-)

I want to apologize in advance if you receive a rejection :-( I always try to respond because I like to appreciate people reading my profile and showing real interest :-) but I sometimes get several requests per day so it might take me some hours or days to respond ... and also I like to accept people only if I have time to hang out with them at least a little while.

PLEASE BE FAIR: I checked "no spontaneous requests" , but appearantly couch surfing doesn't filter... my reply rate would be at 100% if it wasn't for people requesting the SAME night after I checked for the last time that day... Or even if I can't check for a day and then I see 3 requests expired...
I think a week or so in advance is not too much to ask, I usually check every day but I like to get to know my surfers, arrange to meet them when they arrive, spend time with them and help them make plans for their time here according to their interest (you'll notice I don't mind, even prefer, people staying for a couple days)

I'M NOT AN "UHM, FORGOT TO GET A PLACE TO CRASH TONIGHT, HOST ME?" HOSTEL, BUT THINK LIKE YOU'RE ARRANGING TO VISIT A FRIEND

AND: I DON'T LIVE IN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE CENTER OF BERLIN
but if you're not just staying for the place to sleep you'll enjoy our green part of the city, lakes, our garden (or in winter our cosy home and nearby Christmas market) 😉 and Berlin is so spread out you'll need a train ticket anyway, so you'll be in the center of Berlin (and also Potsdam) in a couple minutes

As you can see in my reference, we like to return visits :-) So if your message shows that you are a person/people/family we would love to meet and even have a chance to see again at your place because you have room for two and two half people ;-) we will go out of our way to host you and get to know you, even if we have things going on.
You also see, this is not the only criteria, so if you think we're a match, don't hesitate to ”apply" although you can't host us, but it definitely helps if you can bait us with inviting us in return to show us your piece of this beautiful world like we will show you ours :-D

I am Lisa (German, a language teacher) and I live in Berlin with Paco (Mexican, working in IT) and our two sons. I am excited about meeting new people and showing them around, and about seeing new places and being shown around ;-) So have me stay with you and be my guest! :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

surfing and hosting in different places in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and of course in Berlin :-) I hosted people from a couple different countries but I always love to meet more people because through you I get to know more about your country! :-) I can't afford to travel as often as I would like, but having a great time with you by showing you the best spots of my city is like being on vacation, too :-)

Share? Above all: time! I think it's important to get to know my surfers a little, so I will show you around the city and spend time with you, and I prefer couchsurfing to staying in a hostel because I hope to meet people who like to hang out and show me their favorite spots :-) oh yeah, and we have some extra bikes :-)
Teaching and learning? hm... recipes by cooking together, words in all kinds of languages by talking to each other, songs, games, ... :-)

Rumor has it I'm a good cook ;-) Since I love cooking and having a good time while having a good meal, I have picked up a lot of recipies from all over the world :-)
If time or circumstances don't allow me to cook for you or you prefer a different "payback", I'll invite you to eat of for a drink or bring you something from Berlin (German beer, sweets, chocolate, souvenirs ...) inspire me ;-)
