Hello friends, my name is Alycia and I am an adventurous woman that loves to travel and see all the wonders of this world, from big to small I want to see it all! I love animals and open minded people and will do anything to try and help out a good friend.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Enthusiastic and spontaneous, I love a good challenge and helping making this world a better place is a wonderful challenge because it's never ending. Just having a smile on your face makes the biggest difference!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only stayed with a few couch surfers before and have mostly stayed in hostels but I loved each experience I have had. Lots of experience with hosting surfers.

Interests

Hiking and exploring this world, finding beaches to relax on and enjoy nature, meeting new people to share experiences with, have laughs and good times.

I love doing yoga in my mornings, the summer is spent doing yoga with the rising sun on the patio while enjoying the birds singing and the beauty of nature. I am a fitness lover but I also enjoy my snacks so get ready for some awesome meals and junk food!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Action or Comedy I love to watch although who doesn't secretly love sitting down with a tub of ice cream and watching a tear jerking chick flick

Music wise I listen to anything and everyone and am very open to listening to new music, I find music to be the beat to everyone's soul and just like everyone is unique so is the music in which we encounter. Although I love dancing to anything country and am currently taking a two stepping dance class.

I am a huge book worm and will read till the day I die, anything and everything can gauge my attention if I am in the right mood. Currently I am reading a book about the heritage and real life stories from the Cree Native tribes so I can learn more about my heritage.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the Main temple in Colba a ancient Mayan village where the ruins are still accessible to the public

Walked in the Ruins of the Mayan village Talum which is right beside the Ocean

Swam in the ocean on Flamingo Beach in Costa Rica playing in the after waves of a Tsunami

Island hopped around Hawaii for two weeks swimming with dolphins, tubbing through lava caves and zip lining over the jungle

Slept under more stars than you can count lying on a balcony over looking the ocean and full moon, listened to the waves crash beneath me all night on one of the Hawaii islands.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer great times with new friends. I am accepting and welcoming of all people from all aspects of life and truly do enjoy the story telling aspect of it all. Hearing other people's adventures in exchange for my own stories. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the night then exploring the town and showing you all our hidden gems!

However if you really want to step it up I can help you plan something Downtown to show you some of the best clubs Calgary has to offer or plan your trip to you the Canadian Rocky mountains in Canmore or Banff to see the beautiful sites of nature. Whatever your style I would love to be able to help show you my home just the way YOU want to see it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you many wonderful stories about my adventures around this world, my hopes and dreams and things I love about this beautiful world. We can do yoga together, play sports at many of the wonderful centers in Calgary , try something new, anything you can think of I am down for.

I crave the local life and living the culture when I travel. I love seeking out hidden gems everywhere I go and often ask to avoid tourist traps and will get up at ridiculous hours to have private time to beautiful scenes one can only witness in near solitude.
