About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible and meet the people who make it tick...
ABOUT ME
I left England in Aug 2003 and have spent the past five years travelling, working and volunteering in New Zealand, Australia, South America, South East Asia and Africa. I got New Zealand residency in 2006 and after working and travelling in Canada through 2007/08, I arrived back in New Zealand via India in Sept 2008. I lived in NZ for six years until 2014 and I have just returned to the UK and I'm now based in Manchester :)
PHILOSOPHY
In the words of David Attenborough: I just wish the world was twice as big and half of it was still unexplored.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can't host at my place unfortunately...but I'm happy to show newbies around Manchester, go for a beer or coffee, go hiking/kayaking and generally chat about travels and whatever.
I've also travelled extensively round NZ/Australia so am happy to help plan any trips and give advice.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Loving it so far...every experience has been great...from couch surfing in Canada to going on a big road trip with five other couch surfers from Mumbai, India, it's been a great experience so far!!
Interests
I'm easygoing, laid-back and up for having a laugh. I love going to the pub, listening to and dancing to great music, eating out and hanging out with friends. Also love yoga and chilling out...

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Movies: I always go for movies with my favourite actors - Jack Nicholson and Kevin Spacey. Loved About Schmidt (prob my all-time favourite) and also a big fan of De Niro, Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette who was awesome in Little Miss Sunshine.
Favorite Music: Love any stuff like Kaiser Chiefs, Amy Winehouse, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, to 70s funk and disco, old skool like Dee Lite, Earth Wind and Fire, De La Soul to name a few. Also Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets, Primal Scream, Inspiral Carpets and 80s cheese like Duran Duran, Wham, Bananarama etc! Also getting into some top Kiwi bands like Fat Freddy's, Black Seeds, Salmonella Dub...This list could just go on and on...but I'll cut it short right here!!!
Favorite Books: Obviously anything travel-related or trashy girlie novels. Life of Pi is my all-time favourite - a must-read.
