One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first morning in Kathmandu, Nepal, My mum and i took a rickshaw through the crazy streets to Monkey temple. A group of young boys asked us where we were from and then walked with us to the temple and showed us around like little tour guides! we spent 2 hours exchanging knowledge about our countries and being showed around Kathmandu by these boys, they were really clever, spoke fluent english and knew random facts about australia that we would never have expected Eg- "Australia, Canberra is the capital!!" the oldest was only 12. They didnt ask us for money though they were clearly very poor. Instead they asked for a box of powdered milk. They were humble, intelligent and not at all corrupted by the country's poverty, truly representative of Nepali culture and amazingly inspiring! Nepal is amazing.
