Overview
About Me
I think I am a good, trusting person, and I always want to be better and work on improving myself, learning new skills. What's your risk of meeting or hosting me? Absolutely zero.
I was active in CouchSurfing community many years ago and met many interesting people. I like traveling, often it's not the best scenery that makes the trip memorable, but it's the people I met and the shared moment we had that became life-long memories. I felt lucky that in my early age, through CouchSurfing, I see the world with a positive perspective, because even a stranger cares.
I grew up in China, and later studied in England, and then moved to Canada. I've been in Canada for almost 10 years. Life got busy with ups and downs and after a short and bad marriage and divorce, I live with my daughter, who's now 7, in Canada. As for future, I plan to move to America if possible. Being a single mum is difficult, but I am happy I have a lovely daughter.
I have my degree in Finance and Accounting, but later self-learnt (and still learning) about programming and software development, I worked as software developer for several years and now planning to start working independently as freelancer.
I like reading, traveling, or other outdoor activities and I like meeting new people. At my home, I am also hosting guest through Airbnb as a superhost.

PHILOSOPHY
Being a Chinese from northwest of China, I was told to study hard, find a decent job and then find a good man to marry. And that is all! But, is that all???
There's a saying "The biggest risk in life is to risk nothing". "You Only Live Once ". I spent a lot of time think what can I do with my life? Ever since I was a child, I am always curious to the world and the dream of traveling around the world has always stayed with me, but over the years I've been thinking it's not just about traveling to every countries as a tourist to just relax, I am more focused on what else I can do, what difference I can make. Keep a growth mindset and do something that can add value to who I am and contribute to our beautiful world, :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was active in CouchSurfing community many years ago and met many interesting people, it's not the best scenery but the people I met and the shared moment we had that became the highlight of my trip and life-long memories. I felt lucky that in my early age, through CouchSurfing, I see the world with a positive perspective, because even a stranger cares.
I highly appreciate and feel grateful for some couchsurfers who spent their time to host me and/or arranged a meeting with me during my travel--thank you!
In return, I hosted many CSers when I am free, so far I think I have hosted around 30 Couchsurfers, they are all very nice and cool people, we all had a good experience.
More often, I joined Couchsurfing local events when I was in England and I made many international friends there. Some became my very good life-long friends, even we can't meet now, we still keep contact.
