About Me
CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
I love to meet new people and get a sense of who they are and listen to their stories and perspectives about life. We're all experts in something...so I like to learn something new from everyone i meet.
I am an acupuncturist with a professional interest in sports medicine and digestive health. I'm also currently studying computer programming. I enjoy cooking and the outdoors.
Ideally, I would love to couchsurf with people that I can share activities with (like snowboarding, hiking, cooking, or discussing local cultures), and who could give me advice about which neighborhoods to check out. If that's not possible though, I would also be grateful just for a place to sleep at night.
I'm very mindful and respectful of others' space.
If you currently don't have any accommodation, I'd also be interested in just meeting up to hang out.

Music, Movies, and Books
Not good at pinpointing favorite movies and books but I have to say I've really enjoyed the spaghetti western triologies with Clint Eastwood, especially The Good, the Bad, the Ugly.
I've also been a fan of Kurt Vonnegut and David Sedaris.
Music tastes are varied and different phases cycle through: Currently--Latin influenced stuff like Manu Chao, different kinds of salsa/merengue, classical indian music, Japanese shakuhachi flute, ethno-techno type stuff that blend things like Indian or asian african sounds with beats..like Karsh Kale and Necodemus, lounge aesthetic/ambient dj type stuff like Bonobo or Thievery Corporation, RJD2. I've enjoyed funk, blues, jazz, and rock in the past.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surviving a bus hijacking during Evo Morales' uprising in Bolivia--in the middle of nowhere between Potosi and Sucre and being held captive overnight and being smuggled back through check points guarded by campesinos toting rifles and dynamite.
Doing multiday trips on motorcycle through parts of Northern Thailand and the Golden Triangle in Laos through mudslides in the rainy season.
Getting lost alone in the mountains above the tree line (Nahuel Huapi, Barriloche Argentina) and surviving a night without tent, and really thinking I might die for an evening and morning--then finding my way out.
Climbing up to a second story window and saving a guy who was passed out next to a flaming cushion started by a cigarette in Thailand (this actually happened!)
