About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Gain life experiences, learn more every day, grow my understanding of the world and its people.

ABOUT ME

I think I am perceived as a fun, thought provoking and honest person, if we come to cross paths you can let me know if this is an accurate perception.

PHILOSOPHY

Get the most out of life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Was advised by people on my travels that it was an experience to meet people that should not be missed. Was hopeful my experience will be as fruitful as theirs...

Initially had some very rewarding experiences, made great friends and enriched my experience. Since then the landscape and community of couchsurfing has changed but regardless there is great connections to be made through this platform.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed to a limited degree on a trip through Eastern Europe. Hosted a few people on my return to Sydney. Travel very impulsively and therefore my unplanned nature of travel does not suit everyone. As such I have mostly informal couchsurfing experiences by meeting people day to day and sparking up friendships. Never the less I see value in CS and occasionally return to see if I can uncover a rewarding exchange within the community.

Interests

I love sport and adventure. Followed by the generic things that all people enjoy, music, friends and a good time.

  • traveling
  • socializing
  • music
  • sports
  • engineering
  • languages

Music, Movies, and Books

The Big Lebowski, and for anyone who is Australian or familiar, The Castle. With music - cant name one artist or genre as that changes too often, but my taste is largely mainstream. Don't read as many books as I should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This question is so difficult... I am impressed by the height of the bluegum forests in Tasmania and the hundreds of people sleeping at the train stations in India and the meals and generosity of people you meet while you travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach where my knowledge is useful.

Would love to learn more languages (I labelled myself as beginner in French, which is more of an intention than any ability to converse)... and more about mechanics/engineering, just for practical reasons.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I travel a lot and like to learn things. I am sure I have opinions and ideas that will generate conversations and hopefully share a memorable exchange.
