About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I ran out of missions. Maybe I just don't like the idea of a "mission".. Maybe I could say that to go to the most places and meet the most people could be my mission.. But I do it because I like it. I can't see that as a mission. I love life already
ABOUT ME
I'm a Mexican guy who used to travel alone, but now things have changed, now it's more a duo thing. My Girl Ana and I love to travel, this is like an addiction to us. We've toured on our bikes around France and Spain and hopefully next time we'll go to Italy.
The thing we enjoy the most while traveling is meeting new and interesting people. We have hosted people from warmshowers.com and people we meet on our trips. We love Mexico and every time we have the time, we go to any of the beautiful beaches we have in the pacific or the caribbean.
I have a blog about our travels (traveluis.com) and some information of the city we live in. Most of it is in spanish but you can always use google translator to have an idea of what I write about.
The way we get our money is by selling furniture and antiques. We have a small store close to our house. We don't have a working time schedule but we spend most of the time at the store, (this is when we are not traveling..)
When traveling:
We really enjoy museums, going out in the night. Personally I love having a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop while watching people pass by.. This is something I do a lot when I'm in Paris.
Sometimes we bring with us a bottle of tequila, (our favorite!) and share it with people we meet.
We also love visiting the local flea market and buy vintage clothing.
I like to go where locals go, where they eat, where they go out at night and do things locals do.
At home:
As I mentioned before, we spend a lot of time at the store, because we like it and because we love to talk to our customers. Since we have a lot of restaurants and bars around, most of the time we just go out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And sometimes we go out for a beer, it's all a block or two away from home. When we have time, we go to one of the small towns that are no more than 80 miles from the city. On Wednesdays, we go out in the night to a sort of bicycle "critical mass" we have in town. It's really popular and hundreds of people join every wednesday.
PHILOSOPHY
Respect, respect, respect! As one famous Mexican hero once said:
"Among individuals, as among nations, respect for the rights of others is peace."

Music, Movies, and Books
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, I'm not very into POP music, but even in that genre I like some songs. Cien años de soledad, The solitaire mystery.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diving in the middle of the night at "maya bay". Yup! where the film "The beach" was shoot. I met this guy on a sailboat and went with him. Fluorescent plankton illuminated corals and fish every time I would dive. It was amazing!
Another one: having crossed France, the pyrenees, Spain and back on bicycle, with my girl.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basics in photography, light and how to modify it. I also love woodworking so I have some tools and can always teach what I know and learn from others. I consider myself a handyman, I like to fix things, so if there are tools and equipment around, maybe I can be of help!
Ana knows some really cool dance moves! We also like to cook but unfortunately we lack of time so we don't have much practice..
