Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf when compelled and host when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done a good deal of "couchsurfing," although never before through the site. I've been incredibly privileged in my life to have been able to do a good deal of traveling. This has involved me going to loads of places and meeting loads of people who have shared with me the most incredible things that their communities have to offer. Many of those who I've met on my travels have come to wherever I am to visit me and I've done my best to reciprocate the kindness they have shown me.
Intereses
I have a formal education (and continued interest) in 18th century English literature.
Listen to loads of western music. I have particular enthusiasm for country and everything post of hardcore and punk, but this isn't to say I'm not interested in musical expression of all kinds.
Boat life.
I play many instruments, my primaries being harp, guitar, pedal/lap steel, violin, and most recently synthesizers. I'm also a classically trained violist.
Rock climbing a lot and skiing when I can.
Having my worldview rocked by people who see things differently than i do.
Doing a decent job of reading up and participating in current events.
Vegetarian/"freegan" cooking.
Fiction writing.

Música, películas y libros
I have had a lot more experience with books and music than I have movies. It would be insincere however if I were so curt that I did not put Tristram Shandy into a response that so obviously begs a list. I do love Tristram Shandy!
Algo increíble que he hecho
I have the privilege of working with a young woman named Rosie. She is 23 years old and locked in a body that no longer works due to a debilitating condition that resembles a severe case of cerebral palsy. I've prototyped and am working on a computer program that will allow her to communicate and make decisions for the first time since she was little. I get to wake up every day feeling that what I'm doing is meaningful. The most amazing thing is that at 24 I can wake up every morning and have nothing left to ask from life.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
AH! This is the question! I have been unfathomably privileged with all that I've been able to learn through others and myself. This sounds incredibly "cosmic hippy" of me but it is the sharing that interests me; I'm as earnest to take as I am to give!!!
