ABOUT ME

I grew up in Calirfornia and went to university in Washington. After university I took an engineering position in Alaska because I wanted to explore the last great untouched state in the United States. I had a great opportunity with my company because my job allowed me to travel all over the world. After working for 9 years I decided to quit my job and backpack around the world for 10 months. I spent 6 months in South America followed by 4 months in South East Asia. I have now accepted a full time position in Japan working for an American Company. I've been in Japan for the last 16 months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy hosting people in Alaska because I can introduce people to things they would never be able to do on their own. I love hunting and fishing and it's great when people visit from other countries and I can cook the different animals and fish that I have hunted and fished. It's great drinking and eating with others and learning about their cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I have only hosted people so far. When I travel I usually use couch surfing as a way to meet up with locals.
