About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting through school so that I can travel again

ABOUT ME

I am currently a medical student in Roanoke, VA. I took a year off between undergrad and medical school to travel the world. It was the most fun I've ever had and I learned more than I did in my many years of school. So while I spend a lot time in the library now, I wish I was still traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in a quasi-retirement home with multiple layers of security and roommates who are not excited about CS, so I cannot host people. I am, however, willing to meet up with people in Roanoke and show them around or socialize.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried to CS a few times when I was traveling but all of my requests were at the last second so I was not able to get any of them to workout, but I will try again the next time I travel.

Interests

Traveling, meeting new people, politics, science, medicine, nature, environment, camping, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, writing, reading, wishing i cooked better, nutrition, and a lot of other stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books about saving the world and/or environment. Scifi like Ender's game, Some fantasy. 1984, animal farm, brave new world, kite runner, many others that I am neglecting.

Music: pretty much anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled around South America by myself and Asia with a friend. I met some amazing people and saw unique and facinating places. Now I am in medical school and learning interesting things, but it is a little different than traveling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning a lot about medicine (as a medical student), I know some about nutrition.

I am always open to learning about new things, so any skills that other people have would be interesting.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland, Laos, Panama, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
