One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, more than one... Tell me which one is your favorite.
Been the best man in four of my best friends weddings, even giving the homily at one of their weddings.
Being choosen to be the godfather of my friend's, now 8 year old girl. She is awesome.
Finished an unsupported, fully loaded bicycle camping tour on Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway with 10 friends for 10 days. 650 miles and 61,000 feet of vertical climb later, we celebrated and wanted to do it again. That is 1,046 Km of riding distance and 18.6 km of vertical climbing for those of you using the metric system. The typical riding day was 10-12 hours of long rides up mountains and very fast, quick descents to the next long climb.
Flew in a helo over the Hindu Kush and Wakhan Corridor; flew in a C-130 to within 5 degrees of the North Pole to test the inertial navigation system; removed and set maritime buoys in the Chesapeake Bay; organized, planned and managed search and rescue with boats and aircraft that saved many people's lives and property.
