About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To transcend the insignificance of our existence.

ABOUT ME

I'm an eccentric over-analytical introvert that has a lot of trouble describing myself. But I love meeting new people and having a good time (who doesn't?) and really look forward to broadening my horizons through this wonderful internet community. I really enjoy having adventures, and enjoy writing about them. I like writing anything, short fiction, long fiction, scripts, screenplays, articles, reviews...anything.

I produce, write and act with a local indie film company, Tasty Dude Films.

One day, I'd like to run my own low-budget underground renegade theatre company, but that's a long term goal at this point.

I'm really starting to dig waffles.

I can play the ukulele.

PHILOSOPHY

You look really nice today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new, rare, foreign people. I love the city I live in, Portland, and will warmly show you everything it has to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed over my friends place once when he hosted this pretty girl surfing across the country. Then I surfed some in England. Now I've been hosting here in Portland. It's been a great time.

Interests

Some heavy shit, man.

Not really. Well... Everything, really.
Theater, writing, literature, film, any artistic form of expression, debauchery, traveling, story-telling, philosophy, sciences, science fiction, regular fiction, comics, technology, the planet, the future.

Everything is interesting.

Except this, this was boring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Pretty much all of them, ranging from deep art films to blockbuster action crap to the Classics. Huge fan of George Lucas, Wes Anderson, Kubrick, Van Sant, the Cohen Bros, and so on.

Music:
The Weakerthans, The Mountain Goats, Modest Mouse, Explosions in the Sky, Streetlight Manifesto, Against Me!, Ratatat, Cake, Astronautalis.

Books:
The works of Kurt Vonnegut... all of them, Zen and the Art of Motocycle Maintenance, Catch-22, Rule of the Bone, Brave New World, Ishmael, Le Petit Prince, Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Great Gatsby, The Old Man and the Sea, anything by Jake Christie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm..

Watching the sun come up over the Great Salt Plain in Utah while I was road-tripping across the country. We made it from Norway, Maine to San Francisco, California in 2 and a half days. It was wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a load of trivial useless information, but nothing you couldn't really find on Wikipedia. A wealth of theatrical information, if that's your thing.

I can perhaps show you a thing or two on the ukulele. Or how to make a damn fine pizza pie.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, United Kingdom
