About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet as many people taking incredible journeys as possible
ABOUT ME
What's important to tell....I'm from the states, a pretty serious cook and all around foodie, I love all types of music although my all time favorite genres would be bluegrass and Taureg, I love going to museums and I read a fair bit, although not as much as when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer a few years back (most PCVs have quite a bit of free time on their hands).
PHILOSOPHY
Save the world, live life to the fullest and see how far you are willing to go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to have a steady stream of couch surfers visit my house in Ghana when I was living there, now I'm hoping to get back into the couch surfing community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch surfed throughout West Africa and into Europe and had phenomenal experiences meeting new people and gaining their wisdom on how to best experience the local area. I also used to host a fair number of couch surfers myself when I lived in Ghana and had several free rooms to spare.
Interests
Any type of boating! Love to sail but also do a lot of canoeing and kyaking and was a white water raft guide for a while. I also love to hike and bike...and like I said earlier I read a fair bit and time to time I dabble at drawing, painting and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all movies, both good and bad. I like just about all types of music and as for reading: I like to go back and forth between historical non-fictions and great novels...."The Marriage Plot" was the last great book I read, now I'm onto "The Wild Trees"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa for over two years and afterwards back-packed solo around West Africa for two months before meeting up with friends in Barcelona.
Since then I've had great experiences working on climate change policy for The Nature Conservancy, global health policy for the non-profit organization PATH, and now I'm back at Peace Corps headquarters designing a new program to allow us to start sending doctors and nurses abroad in a working capacity for the first time in 30 years!
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy meeting good-hearted people who share a sense of wonder with the world at large and set out everyday to explore a new part of it.
