ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old and I'm attending Utah Valley University. I love to travel and meet people from around the world. My first experience traveling outside of U.S.A. was in 2007 when I visited Sweden with my parents. I have been to Europe 7 times since then and lived in Budapest, Hungary for 2 years. I have friends in many different countries. I love to see other cultures from different points of view. I discovered that I love to study European art history. Every time I return to Europe I make lifelong connections and have been blown away about how amazing this world is.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is very unique for each and every individual. I feel that most of the worlds problems and struggles come people trying to make others exactly like themselves. It's not that easy...we are all very unique and should embrace differences and similarities at the same time. I love my family and would do anything for them. I have great friends and feel that reaching out to others is one of the best things we can do while we are alive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I traveled for 3 months in Europe last summer and actually wasn't able to couchsurf too much. I enjoyed the new friends I made through this community and still keep in contact with many of my friends in Hungary, Finland, Sweden, and Germany. I want to introduce people to my city from a different point of view. I really enjoy learning from others and I love being a part of this big/growing family.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had many exchange students stay with my family over the years. I recently moved into a new house and plan on moving to salt lake city. I hope I can better accommodate local travelers. I have made many good friends in Europe due to staying with people I had never met before.

Interests

I love learning about other cultures. My life has been greatly influenced by art and design. I'm fascinated about the history behind art pieces, buildings, and art movements. I love traveling and would love to visit new countries every year. I have a deep love for the Hungarian people and their culture. I love learning Hungarian, even though it is way different from English. I also love Sweden. Most of my family came from southern Sverige! I love music and I often go to concerts and music festivals. I have been to Coachella and plan on attending the Electric Daisy Carnival this June before I head back to Europe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2005-(summer) Lived in Oahu Hawaii for 4 months
2005-(October) First experience outside of america when I visited Mexico
2006-Visited California over 20 times that year
2007-Spent time in southern Sweden, Denmark, and Germany
2007-2009- Lived in Budapest, Hungary and learned fluent Hungarian
2010-(Summer) Spent 3 months backpacking in Hungary, Austria, Germany, and Italy
2010-(Winter) Visited my parents who were living in Germany and went to France for the first time. Also on my flight home I was able to visit NYC for the first time.
